This week we present our progress to guests and peers. And my thesis topic is about intimacy in the digital age. I found out people want deep human connection but at the same time in the digital age, we are losing the ability to have face-to-face communication. Based on my interview with users, some of them avoid making telephone calls in real-time communication because they are fearful they might reveal too much. So I want to help people feel more comfortable when they have real-time face-to-face communication.
Even we have so many apps to communicate, I found out there is no one focus on video-based dating.
Solutions:
- Virtual host for dating
- Capture the good moments (AR picture)
- Interactive games and surprise events
Feedback:
- Ignore the safety factor: Including video recording reminder, illegal exposure, etc.
- How to market your product: not fall down a path that you don’t intend
